Just ordered a Canik SFX

Should get here next week. Canik TP9SFX with Vortex Viper. I wanted a 3MOA Venom but they don't offer that package anymore. The Venom packages are 6MOA just lije the Vipers. Trigger on the one I looked at is great. Already ordered the reduced power firing pin block plunger spring to reduce and smooth take up travel.

Get a Freedomsmith trigger. That's the only mod I have made to mine.

Well, I did just order a Venom so I didn't have to remove the RDS to change the battery.

The trigger is quite good right out of the box. It has an extremely short reset and very light pull. You'll probably be pleased when you first shoot it.

Mine had a mile of take up out of the box. The FS trigger got rid of all of it.

I was looking at that trigger. With no take up does it do away with the firing pin block? That's basically what's happening during the take up.

With the Freedomsmith trigger the striker block still functions but that trigger breaks farther forward than the factory trigger. On those triggers I like the racer version better than the fat daddy. I've use both but racer with the cutouts fits my finger better.

I bought the Fat Daddy because it was a blem and I'm cheap. I actually like how the Fat forces me to have my finger square on the trigger face.

Just got my SPX. Replaced the firing pin block spring yesterday. Been dry firing and don't like the pre travel, otherwise the trigger is great. Ordered a Freedonsmith trigger today. Gonna be my 3 gun / tactical match gun when I don't want to run my 1911. Or maybe it'll replace it ...

6moa dot on the Viper is OK. Liked it more then expected. The gun is a shooter even with the factory pre travel. Installed the Freedom Smith trigger tonight. NICE !

Get the Galloway spring kit and you'll be set.
