As the title states, I ordered a CZ 40B for $279.99 from CDNN. This is my first handgun purchase (and only for a long time), and I plan on getting a CCW soon. I got an extra $30 mag just because I didn't want to hassle with finding a good mag latter. What are some good IWB holsters for the 40B? I'm looking for cheap because I will most likely only carry while hunting, hiking, and those times when I'm going some place that I think I may need to be carrying (maybe once every other week).

First, CONGRATULATIONS!!!. The CZ40B is one nice pistol. You could have saved a couple of dollars by getting the .40S&W magazine that fits the CZ75B. About $19.95 each at CDNN, and 12-rounder to boot.

As far as a belt-slide holster that is easy on the budget, CZech out the Sportsman's Guide for some of the Safariland carbon fiber with a suede liner. They come in four different sizes, and are left/right configured. While they don't have the retention strap, they do have adjustable retention screws. Mine fits the H&K, USP, and Glock. Something to think about.

If it's the same size dimensions as a CZ-75B 9mm, it might help to know that any holster suitable for a Browning Hi-Power should also work for it.

I have three Hi-Powers and some different holsters for them, and my CZ-75B fits in them pretty well. A Hi-Power and a CZ- 75B are really close in overall size except that the CZ-75B's grip is about half an inch longer (16 rnd mag vs 13 rnd mag).

It should also fit ok in a holster for a Beretta 92/96 but will probably be a little looser as the Beretta is fatter and the barrel/slide assembly is about half an inch longer.

You might check out Blade-tech holsters - they are relatively inexpensive. For just a few dollars more, though, you can get a Minotaur holster that is very nice ($80).

I also saw someone on the CZ forum who fashioned a 1911 grip panel belt clip (John Masen?) to fit his CZ40B.

I'm on the fence about buying one. I'd rush out and get it if was chambered in .357 SIG.

fobus ru-97 (paddle with retention)
safariland for ruger p97 (belt with no retention, held by friction)
factory included XD belt holster (perfect fit)

CR Speed World Speed Model II race holster.

you can try anything at the gun shop that fits sig p220, xd, ruger p97, as long as it's not a wet-molded holster. usually it's the slide stop that interferes.

That obnoxious slide stop is the worst part of my PCR and 97B, if it weren't for those than the pistols would fit more holsters and more importantly they would fit better, the slide stop tends to push the grip away from my side.

Congrats on the 40B though, it's a neat gun and I want one sometime before they sell out.
