I just picked up another toy. I got a M1916 Spanish Mauser in 7mm Mauser. It is an unmarked (scrubbed) gun. I got it for $150 :D

It has a nice smooth action and a great bore I also had the head space checked by the gunsmith and it is nice and tight, I cannot wait to get some shots through it

Here are some pix from before I cleaned it up...

Thanks! The gun shop guy said it was a Chilean Mauser and that NOBODY wants those old guns! Funny 'cause I had bought my 10/22 from 1983 there as well... I did some research and the gun was modified during the Spanish Civil War, but for whom and by whom is a mystery.

Even though the stock is beat up a bit, a little paste wax and 0000 steel wool brought out the grain a bit, the barrel which has a "A" Serial Number in addition to the "Q" one that matches the receiver, looks brand new inside. The bore was dirty with dust, but cleaned right up and has very sharp lands and grooves. I bet she is going to be a fun shooter and very accurate.
