I'm new to your forum, and just dropping a line to say hi. I have been an avid firearms enthusiast for many years andd was refferd to THR by 45Wheelgun, We have known each other for some 25 years. I love fine firearms, I'm not much into the miliary style s I prefer the artfully engraved pieces, and older wood and blue steel. I currently have only one gun left but am hoping to change that when the kid moves out. I want a Parker but the cost may negate that idea and I will probably settle on an old Ithica SxS, got to go for now the lag is killing me.

What took you so long? :)

I'm with you on the beauty of good craftsmanship vs Milsurps functional cuteness. Stuff that's well made leads to poor impersonations of golom on my part, "ooh my precioussss etc.".

Well let's see..... I used to do the Fido-net thing way back when on my 386, I loved the fact Ed Harris was very involed in that forum, and dissapointed when it dissolved, then I moved to rec.guns for years but there was too much flaming for my tastes, then dropped the internet for 3-4 years. got back on the net about a year ago and just have not found anything quite right. Until now.
