Here she is boys & girls, my newest love.
It's a Uberti 1873 Cattleman El Patrón Competition.

For those who don't know
The "1873 Cattleman" portion of it's name refers to it being a clone of the Colt Peacemaker Single Action Army - U.S. Patent 1873.

"El Patron" (The Boss) refers to it having upgraded Wolf springs & being hand-tuned.

"Competition" refers to a lowered hammer - that makes it easier to cock one-handed

Ima hafta look into one of these, maybe for one my daughters.

Maybe in .357 Magnum.

When I bought my Colt SAA and discovered that the leather rig I bought years ago as a teen had shrunk during all the moving and storage of stuff in the 20 years I was in the Navy, she inherited my old rig. What with her being the only one in the family it fits and all...

Anyway, the belt is tooled for .357, not .45 Colt. She loves the rig and really loves my Colt SAA. So I figure I ought to one day get her a SAA clone in .357 to fit her belt.

And this looks like it would fit the bill nicely!

I have one similar to that, and it's solid, reliable and great fun to shoot! Congrats, I'm sure you will continue to love it.

Saw it on their website the other day. I like the custom features, especially the action tuning, lowered hammer, and the checkered grips. Let us know how it does at the range.

Of course as you probably know, this one is an exact duplicate of the Colt SAA.
Meaning you should carry with only 5 rounds.
The firing pin is on the hammer, so if it's dropped it can go off.

The Vaquero has a transfer safety bar, so it cannot fire if the trigger is not all the way back.
So if it's dropped it would have to catch on something that'll overcome a 12lb pull.
Carrying with all 6 chambers loaded is safe.

I wanted authentic (other than the lowered hammer spur - which is why I wanted a competition model)
That & the checkered grips, and being hand-tuned etc, etc lol :neener:

It'll be 2 or 3 weeks til I actually get it in my hands.
But I'll post a range report when I get it.
If it's like my other Uberti, an 1873 Cattleman NM Brass, it'll shoot perfectly.
