Altamont boot grips

I believe the grips are Altamont K frame round butt boot grips in rosewood dymondwood. The webpage is here, but unfortunately Altamont does not show a picture of model SW00077, which sells for $50.

I don't have the exact grips, but do have the Altamont J frame boot grips in walnut, which closely resemble the K frame, as shown below on a S&W model 36:

I agree with .41dave and pogo2 - mostly for the reason that I don't think Spegel uses plywood (aka "dymondwood") for his grips. Altamont is the king of that practice. Not railing against synthetic wood, it's just a stylistic choice and I don't think Spegel does that.

Hogue does make them like that although I just bought the rubberized K-frame grip for my 10-4. Love the finger grooves.

The gun in that auction appears to be of the square-butt variety. All of the boot grips that I've seen are round-butt. Perhaps they are custom?

I was correct, that is a square butt frame, as verified by the owner via email. He does not know the brand of the grips. I think that .41Dave is correct. They look to be Altamont (SB) grips that have been cut down to be boot grips.

At a quick glance, they look like round butt grips, because of the way that the pictures are cropped.
