I'm wanting a holster, OWB, for my 4" K frame. I purchased one just like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Smith-Wesso...772315?hash=item2a717ef5db:g:NdkAAOSwgZ1Xrel5 off of Ebay, but it sits very high - I feel like the grips are all the way under my arm pit (it's not, but the gun rides very high).

I want something that rides lower. I have the UBG Regulator for my M&P9 and love it. The grips slightly above the beltline. Anything like that exist *for a K-frame* that's not an arm and a leg?

I'd encourage you to give the holster you have some more time. I believe you'll find the short comings to actually be attributes.

Get a Bianchi accumold. I have one for my m10 and m66. Doesn't look the best but is secure, distributes weight well, and is concealable enough for a coat that would cover your pockets.

Cheap(ish) too.

You didn't really say what you were going to use it for, but for general use, some competition, and even CCW...especially is you don't want to spend a lot...there is the Safariland 568 Custom Fit. It comes with both a belt and a paddle attachment

The belt attachment carries it a bit lower, the paddle a bit higher and tighter

+ 1 on the Bianchi Accumold.

I have one for my k frame and it does all I want it to. Thumb break is very secure but releases the pistol when i need it to. I have used it in IDPA competitions and I did not notice it slow me down.

I have used it for OWB carry as well. Its a good holster. Not real expensive and durable.

I prefer the look of the Bianchi Accumold holster

...over the Safariland Custom Fit, But they really aren't comparable for function. I've used both holsters for carry and in IDPA competition and the cut/design of the Safariland is superior.

If speed of presentation isn't a concern, the Accumold is a nicer looking holster...the Safariland has to be the ugliest holster I own. But the clearances for draw are better, the tension is adjustable, and the angle of carry is more adjustable on the Safariland

Buckets of 'em. Any holster that has the belt loop at the top rear of the pocket will do that.
Only use stuff I make, but I have one from as Tandy's pattern that puts the grip right under my wrist.
As I recall, Uncle Mike's Side Kicks do it as well.
Safariland calls 'em 'Duty' holsters.

On eBay, search for "policeholsters" eBay store. They have a lot of Don Hume seconds at excellent prices, everything from duty holsters to concealment.
