Need Holster

I’m looking for a OWB holster for a smith and Wesson K frame (66) 4 inch BBL. I don’t won’t to pay a arm and a leg for it. It will be used for woods carry it does not need to be lather but I would like it to be. Have any ideas

I guess you need to be more specific about what an arm and a leg is...

I consider $100 to be quite reasonable for a quality holster. My last two purchases were $135 and $110. I considered both to be really good deals considering what I bought.

Are there any leathersmiths out there that manufacture a full shoulder rig for a left hander with vertical carry for a glock 21? Meaning that the holster is to be carried under the right arm. If so, pm me with a quote.

loop a an arm and a leg is more then 75 for me. I don't ccw for know so i don't need a super nice holster. its just for going out back in my woods.
all it has to do is hold the gun safely
im open to some thing other then lather.

Also, you might try looking at the Don Hume line on www.gunnersalley.com (and I am recommending these guys - dealt with them quite a bit and been happy every time). The Hume holsters are an exceptional value.

I just acquired a Model 15 k-frame. any other suggestions out there for a holster? The Bianchi 5BHL looks good -but is there anything out here with a trigger cover?

Simply Rugged makes very good and comfortable holsters for a fair price. DeSantis also makes a good product. Both their Speed Scabbard and Thumb Break Scabbard are very comfortable holsters for all day carry. They list for $65 but I buy them locally for $43 each.

For 4" K frame hoslters, there are so many options. Simply Rugged is good, Bianchi 5BHL's are great, but if you are seriously penny-pinched, go to ebay and you can find 20 for sale at any time for $10 or less. Do your homework, and some of them are classic designs dating back to the '20s. I insist upon a thumb safety, personally, so we are on the same page.

Just some cut-rate shopping advice - there are millions of these K guns out there, and millions of holsters. Search for what you want -there's no need to settle for something you don't like or if you are cash strapped, to pay very much.

My very favorite OWB belt K frame holster is the "Roy's original" pancake. They are out of business (Roy died a while ago), but they are fantastic and available used frequently. Here's a 2.5" with the pancake.

For woods carry, I really like the WWII classic "Tanker" or "Pilots" holster. These are great and functional when you don't need to conceal. Pacific Canvas and Leather imports a cheap Chinese knock-off for $40 (Cabela's sells it). It will hold a 66 well. I use if for both a 10 or a 66 in 4".
