Does anybody have one of the newer Kahr-built 1911s?

I saw one at the (somewhat) local Cabela's over the weekend. I've always had the impression that the older ones weren't very good, but I don't know much about the ones being built since Kahr took over.

I was pretty impressed with this particular pistol. It's just a basic GI WWII replica, but I kinda like that. All the parts, as far as I could tell, were fitted well, the slide fit snug on the frame, and the the parkerized finish was smooth & uniform (much nicer than the finish on a RIA 1911). I actually thought this 1911 compared favorably to a couple different Filipino 1911's they had on hand.

My local FFL guy can get one of these in for $526 delivered. I'm tempted to go for it. I've been 1911 shopping for a while now and I need to just buy one!

I have a pre-Kahr 1911 in the park finish, works great with 230gr ball ammo, accuracy is within combat standard. I also have a Kahr Auto Ord. deluxe model that has the rubber wrap grips a white dot sights. From day one this pistol gave me issues ejecting the cases. I sent it back twice for that issue, on its second trip in for repair the front sight blade fell out. When I got it back the ejection problem was fixed but the idiots set the front sight higher than it should and now my rounds hit way low and grouping is horrible also it needs a serious trigger job. I have been so disappointed with this gun and the company it came from I will not spend another dollar. I have Glocks, Springfields, Smiths and Rugers that I am very accurate with so it is not me. Walk away from the Kahr and save a few hundred more and get a 1911 in either Springfield, Smith or Ruger.
