Kahr CM9 vs Ruger LC9

Size wise and fully loaded weight wise it's hard to beat a PM/CM9 as a pocket carry 9mm.
No hammers or sharp beavertail spurs to hang up or gouge you and has been mentioned a great trigger.
What's not to like??
My PM9 has over 500 rounds through it in the last ten months and has been absolutely rock solid reliable.
I carry it or my LCP depending on the pants or short I am wearing.
Mine has the night sights so it cost me more but the pistol is well made and I dont regret one minute buying it.

I really like my PM9 now that I put the CT on it. I found it too big and heavy for pocket carry but it makes a great small IWB.

CW 45 is looking interesting at $371 delivered from Bud's.

I would go with the LC9. I'm picking one up in a couple weeks for my wife. They are great little guns and there isn't a manufacturer out there that compares to Rugers customer service.

Hard to argue that. It is very hard to beat ruger's customer service.

Shoot both the kahr and the ruger. A clear winner will emerge for you. For me, I just all around disliked the feel and the trigger on the ruger, but loved the kahr. Yep, I can learn to adapt but why adapt to something I don't enjoy shooting just for customer service's sake? I love ruger's customer service, but I've only dealt with one or two company's customer service departments in my life. Most problems I'd rather fix myself and avoid the hassle of returning the gun.

For every report of a problem with a kahr, I see many more reports of satisfied owners that shoot them often. I can say that about everything I own. :)

FWIW if you look around ruger's site, you'll see reports of issues with the lc9 there, too. It wouldn't stop me from buying one with confidence, though. :)

I may just go with the LCP for pocket if the CM series feels too big.
I sold a Taurus TCP thinking I could use a PM9 as an all-around IWB and pocket gun...I found that it was just too much for me to pocket-carry (and I'm 6'0", 175 lbs, 33" waist). I wound up getting a Ruger LCP to fulfill the pocket-carry/über-deep-concealed role, and went back to carrying a Glock 26 for IWB carry.

(If anyone's looking for a complete PM9 carry and range package, shoot me a PM...haven't had time to list it for sale yet.)

I got the Ruger LC9. It's my edc with 4 magazines I carry and have now over 5500 rounds thru it without breakage of anyparts and recoil rod.

For me, the LC9 feels terrible in my hand and it just seems like it wouldn't be much fun or very comfortable to shoot (for me). I think the Kahr is also better-built, very underrated brand as far as that is concerned. However, people with the LC9s seem to really like them.

Don't know of the Kahr...but I bought the LC9 for pocket carry. It carries a bit larger than my S&W MP 340, but I'm amazed at the accuracy and reliability of the LC. It is by far the the most fun to shoot but it's the trigger you have to get use to.
