Kahr CW380 Repair Odyssey - Update

I shot the CW380 I bought earlier this week yesterday. Not a real test as I fired only 20 rds. Worked perfect. I put a Pachmayr grip on it that's made for a S&W 380 Bodyguard and it fits great and has palm swells that aid in grip and comfort when firing. My only other 380 experience is a Walther PPK and the blowback design makes shooting really uncomfortable. I'll use ball ammo in this thing as hollow point expansion ain't that great out of a 2.5" barrel.
I wonder how much additional ompf there is out of a P380 polygonal barrel.

I wouldn't worry about more "ompf" since 380 FMJ will give you plenty of penetration, even from the short barrel.

Defenitly had problems with my p380. Kahrs gunsmith called me and told me what he did to the gun. Replaced the barrel the extractor, recoil springs and magazine springs.Works great now.

I have a P380 that I've owned for about a year. When clean and well-lubed it runs great. As soon as the fouling builds up it begins having problems. I've already run close to 1,000 rounds through it and did a basic "fluff n' buff" to it. Something disconcerting that I've noticed is that the recoil spring loses a lot of its oomph after just a couple hundred rounds, and worse yet the magazine springs lose strength when left loaded for a period of time. My first mag that I kept loaded wouldn't lock the slide back after the last round, while the other, lesser-used mag did. Well, I used the second mag in rotation and now it won't lock the slide back either. I'm hoping Wolff will start making springs for this pistol soon.

Kahr CS

10 or 12 years ago I got a Kahr P9 Covert.

First time I dry fired it, there was a double reset. The second was more pronounced and actually reset the system but the first did not.

Without firing a shot, I called Kahr and talked to someone who transferred me to "Dottie".

I don't remember the exact sequence but they paid to ship it, replaced the trigger assbly, polished some parts, sent me a check for $10 for my trouble.
Turn around was about a week & a half.

I thought their CS was great.
That gun's on me now.

PM9 mag springs are obviously too wide to fit in a P380 mag, but as I have a Kel-Tec P32 I'll have to see if the springs look to be about the same size and shape and report back.
