Just picked up a NIB K9; very pleased with it.

However one of the magazines may not be trustworthy.

I checked Kahr's website and I see k9 magazine options:
1. 8 round
2. 8 round with grip extension
3. 7 round

Suggestions? Are the 8 rounders reliable?

Any aftermarket mags that should be considered or should I stay with the factory?

Thanks!

8 round is for T9

7 round is for K9

6 round is for MK9

The 8 round with extension is meant for K9, but will stick out below bottom of grip frame... likewise using a 7 round w/ extension in a MK9.

The seven round mags work very well.

If you don't mind making the grip bigger you can use the eight round extended.
Many people carry a seven round in the gun, and the eight as a reload.

Stick to FACTORY magazines.
We KNOW they work with no problems.

Non-factory are very much a crap shoot.

As dfariswheel says, stick with factory mags, we know they work. They do, and very well. I have to stainless 8 rnd mags from Pro-Mag. They feed fine, now, but I had to work on them. Problem I have with them still, is they don't always lock the slide after the last round.
Kahr Mags are the best for your K9.
