Straight to the point and honest in his convictions....

“New York has become very unfriendly to people in the gun business. We feel like we are being treated like criminals in New York. That is one of the reasons we are coming to Pennsylvania.”

Don't take it personally, because New York is unfriendly to its gun-owning citizenry as well. I wish I could follow them into Pensylvania.

Glad to hear that. Why pay a state taxes when your product is a no go there?
One company is leaving conn and I am glad of that. I will no longer buy any remington product of any sort as they stayed in NY.

Good for them. Not only is Kahr very supportive of our rights (they sponsor a LOT of the gun shows that I watch), they also offer what I think is the BEST discount to NRA certified instructors. Sure, it's 1 gun per year, but it's a really healthy discount. I appreciate Kahr and hope they find success now and in the future.

Kahr is part of a business conglomerate that's both flush with money and very pro-2A. They have essentially unlimited capital available at zero or ridiculous interest rates.

I'll wager Kahr's new factory is MUCH bigger than the old one... They're not as small as some people think, and after this they might be a major player.

Good for them. I might have to come with an excuse to buy a Kahr to show a bit of support.

I have nothing against the companies that are staying, but I much admire those that are willing to move. My carry gun has been a Kahr for the past couple of years and I won't hesitate to look to them again if I want something else in their line.

How ironic that their best pistol holds seven.

I have a Kahr K40. It is the only center fire pistol I have ever owned(which is a lot) that I truly enjoy shooting. That thing is an extension of my hand.

Good for Kahr. I have a CW380 on order--this may delay delivery a bit, but I won't complain. Maybe my new CW380 will be marked with the new location.

It will join my PM9 and my P45--which are now my two only poly-framed handguns. And two of my favorite carry handguns.

Glad to see Kahr is moving across the Delaware into PA. It is a difficult and costly thing to move production facilities.

I like it! Good for Kahr to move out of that political cesspool of a state with its moronic anti-2nd Amendment idiocy. Even more of a reason to buy another Kahr.

On the way to my favorite gun shop yesterday to order a new Remington 783. The online right ups really favor this rifle. Then I thought about it being manufactured in NY, arrived at the gun shop and ordered a Thompson Venture. I just couldn't do the Remington in NY thingy.

Kahr is expected to bring about 100 permanent jobs to Pike County and quite a few more during construction and expansion. Kahr does not plan on moving their other facilities outside of New York.

doesn't seem like that big of deal to me.

I suspect that Kahr needs more capacity and is using this as a means to generate some publicity. Good for them.

I also appreciate when companies like Remington stay put and continue supporting their employees and local communities that helped them become successful in the first place.

Sen. Joe Manchin screwed the pooch for WV. Beretta now, along with other companies won't consider WV. A letter from a Beretta executive made it very plain. Add that to the war on coal and we're gone.

Any show of support is appreciated, even if they are only moving some of their operations. It shows that they are willing to do their part to make sure the state bears some of the consequences of their actions.

Hope they continue to do well...they make some outstanding compact firearms. For most of my LEO buddies...Kahr is their main choice for a backup weapon.

Considering Remington has been in Ilion since the early 1800s, I suspect the cost of moving/building a new facility of the size they need is out of the question from a cost standpoint, so to boycott them is pure BS from a 2A move, but if you won't buy a Remington, then take your money and send it to the NRA

Don't be surprised if you see Remington expanding production capabilities outside of NY.
