Kahr moving from NY to Pennsylvania...

I think its unfair to boycott Remington for staying in NY, picking up and moving a nearly two century old operation is no small undertaking. Remington has been a solid 2A supporter and I'm not comfortable hanging them out to dry just because of an unfortunate turn in political geography. I definitely will be more interested in Kahr moving forward though.

Considering Remington has been in Ilion since the early 1800s, I suspect the cost of moving/building a new facility of the size they need is out of the question from a cost standpoint, so to boycott them is pure BS from a 2A move, but if you won't buy a Remington, then take your money and send it to the NRA

I agree 100%

Remington and Ilion, NY have been partners since 1816. Their plant is over a million square feet. They built arms for WWI and WWII there. They maintain a wonderful museum and they have made an investment in the plant.

I suspect the clean-up costs associated with closing the plant (and wrecking the town that grew up around it) would be staggering. Far more than the cost of a new Butler Building supreme in Resume Speed Now, SC.

Remington is a remarkable success story with astounding staying power.

Would be nice if they also moved ALL of their operations. Business office operations are easier than production facilities to move

That all depends. By far the most difficult and expensive thing to move are people and not machinery or inventory.

Many who enjoy being 15th generation locations in a place like Ilion probably don't have a great desire to move to Resume Speed Now, SC where they union jobs will no longer be union jobs...

Hooray for PA!

I like the Kahr I bought from Bloomberg when he took Kahr's away from NYC Detectives and sold them on the LEO gun resale market.

Thanks again NY Legislature! PA is happy to have what you so easily dismiss as unwanted.
