Interesting. But I think I'd rather spend $150 more for a .380 Seecamp.

Picture stolen from the Seecamp forum. I can't remember at all who took it, sorry.

tiny

that sure is one tiny little bugger, compared to the tiny kt. Nice gun--I mean the seecamp..

I haven't shot a Seecamp, so can't comment on how it shoots, but it's blowback and not a locked breach action. That could account for it being more compact.

I wonder if the blowback action of the Seecamp has more felt recoil than the P-3AT or the LCP?

Remember, $649 is the MSRP for the Kahr P380 - This gun should sell in the $500 range, a Seecamp 380 is getting closer to $1000 on the open market - due it being a fine crafted gun but also because they are hard to find.

And since it will come with a second magazine, that should be worth another $30 + dollars of additional value.

Quality costs money. Don't know about the ruger 380, but my P3at is not high quality. Kahr will sell plenty of them just like keltec sells plenty. Different guns directed to different markets. People shopping for a pair pants don't stop and Walmart and then Nordstroms. Just like ya don't test drive a $15,000 car and a $50,000 car.

I am glad to see there is more selection and options. Competition and innovation is good for consumers.

I paid about $300 for my P3at and if the Kahr is better, as I think it will be, I would have paid 150$ more for it. Assuming I can get one for $450.

Agree! The Kahr P380 will fit a nice medium as a better built 380 that will cost more than a KT or Ruger, but fall well short of the Seecamp prices.

$550

my dealer priced me the jP380 for $550 out the door. I have one on order. By the looks of it, and compared to my pm9 which is flawless, It should be a winner. Price is not out of range, and lets not compare it to the Ruger or the kt, either anymore than to the seecamp or Rohrbaughs. It will fill a nich and it should also be a winner.

Well, it's a Kahr, which I much prefer over the Keltec or Ruger. Other things that jump out at me: It has real sights, it has a slide stop, it has a browning type recoil lug and locked breech, and a Lothar Walther match grade polygonal barrel.

I love my P3AT for its size/weight/caliber, but the Kahr sure looks like a winner to me. And I would expect it to cost more than the Ruger or Keltec. More gun for more money.

Another interesting thing I read about the P380 is why they didn't call it the PM380 like they do with all of their other Polymer Micro pistols. Supposedly, they're coming out with a SMALLER .380 which will be called the PM380.

Also, I wonder how they got away with using "P380" as I thought some other company already trademarked the term. That was supposedly why Kel-Tec couldn't use "P380" and went with "P3AT".

no way

no way will you see a smaller P380 than what kahr is making. U might indeed see a cw380. someone is really smoking some strong stuff if they believe thatPM380

Well, that's just what I read on these here internets. :D

Still wonder why they didn't call it the PM380 as all their other smallest polymers bear the PM moniker.
