Kahr Question

I just bought a new Karh K9 Elite and am wondering about the stainless steel guide rod that Kahr offers as an accessory replacement for the stock guide rod. Does anyone have an opinion as to whether the cost of stainless rod is worth it? Thanks

Congratulations on the K9 Elite. A very fine gun.

Considering the K9 already has a carbon steel guide rod, I'd say a stainless replacement is an answer in search of a question. Other quality guns get by just fine with a plastic spring guide.

I don't really see a need.

My K9 has between 4 and 5 thousand rounds through it, and other than the finish being worn off, it's in perfect condition.
