I heard the Kahr T9 has a snappy recoil – what about with using standard (9mm) loads?

Those that own; your experiences – please…

Thanks in advance!

In my opinion the Kahr T9 has a very soft recoil. The all steel pistol has a full grip and a low bore axis and has enough weight, about 28 ounces, to offset recoil. It is in fact one of my favorite range guns. I shoot mainly cheaper range ammo, but I've tested several +P rounds and think the T9 handles those well also. The T9 is one of the most comfortable 9mms I own.

Haven't tried the T9, but the K9 has about as much recoil as a full size service gun (such as the Beretta 92). I can't imagine the T9 recoiling more than the K9.

My K9 is a bit snappy with +P ammo...but since the T9 is bigger and heavier, I can't imagine it being an issue with any ammo.

I have a PM9 and a steel E9. The little PM - that I can only wrap two fingers around - does bite a little, but the E - all steel - is pleasant enough. I can't believe that an even larger and heavier gun is going to have harsh or unpleasant recoil.

agree

the T9 weights 26 ounces the K9 weights 23 ounces. I have the K9 and it is a super pleasant handgun to shoot. I can't imagine the T9 being worse on a shooter. If I had my choice again i would have bought the T9 but I got such a good deal on the K9 used that I could not pass it up. A super range and home gun IMO. Extremely accurate. I would think the T9 would even be alittle more accurate with about a half inch longer bbl.

My primary carry is my PM9 which isn't alot to hold on to but I have over 14,200 rounds through it and it is my always carry gun and I like shooting it better than any gun I own, although not as accurate for me as my K9 is but also to me anyhow a very pleasant gun to shoot. I really never mess to much with +P ammo. I think my corbon dpx is +p, my range ammo is just good ol WWB 100 pak from wal-mart. The all steel kahrs to me are built like a brick shi-house. Not cheap in price, but neither islife...
