Anyone have those kinds of knives that you have options to wear around your neck on a chain or pockets or behind back? One shape is the claw shape and the other is more of a utility blade style. I can't remember the name of this company but they do size the 0 grip to your finger. You hold this tiny knife like in a fist. It's very small.

I have an Emerson LaGriff which is a great little knife that I take practically everywhere. I used to own an Emerson karambit which was a good knife but didn't fit my daily carry needs. For CQC they are a formidable weapon but there are better options for a utility knife.

i have the utility model, the one that looks like a box cutter blade, in 440C steel. that one is good enough for self defense. i do want to buy one of the cat's claw models, though, or maybe a bowie blade model.

I would like to get both. They said the cat claw is more ideal for self-defense and the other blade more for all around use.

Unless Hideaway Knives got their act together , I would suggest to avoid them. I referred many customers to them that got treated like crap and had long unanswered delays on product delivery ( for stuff listed as in stock ).

Karambits are cool knives , the blade works decent as a utility knife , though they work far better as a defensive tool , IF you are knowledgeable in how to use it.

Hideaways aren't actually karambits, just an interesting varient on ring knives.

This is true I only remembered what the Karambit looked liked and used that as a term for the hide a way knife which was $75.00. They were willing to drop to $60.00 at one point.
The Karambit is alot more expensive if I remember correctly. More than I would want to spend on something like this.

How long ago or recent was this?

If I recall , 8 months or so ago. Seems quite a few peeps were complaining on a few different knife forums about their "service" as well.

Great product , if you can get it. Hardly any of the custom makers will do collabs with them any more from what I understand.

A few weeks ago I saw quite a bit of their higher cost knives into the 200 and 300 price range in a catalog which are probably special order which I would not consider. Just too much to spend on a knife like that.
But they do sell the ones you can readily get with the two different blade styles I mentioned the cats claw and the utility blade and they are about $75.00 each come with neck key chain and shealth you wear around neck. I suppose if you buy their products that you see at show that you don't have to order there shouldn't be a problem. I know they said they might not be at another gun show depending on how they do at gun show.
