I would call it reliable, but I too sold mine off as there are much better options without such a gawd awful trigger. I would not want to defend my life or my family hoping to keep that front sight on target with such a heavy pull. I'm one who believes that in the adrenaline rush/panic of a real life SD situation you want to have as smooth and easy of a trigger pull as you can so as to not jerk shots all over the place. My CCW's now are a Sig P938 9mm and Sig C3 .45, both 1911 SA platforms. If trying to stay low cost and no safety, I'd get a Kahr CM9.
