Just picked up one of these,a few days ago, and took it to the range yesterday. After deburring the plastic seam, and field stripping and lubeing, I ran 150 rounds through this wonderful little gun.

Likes: perfect in function, reliable 100%
very accurate, 2" groups at 25'
small easy to carry, very light

Dislikes: Sights are way off, shoots 5" low at 25' very cheap looking plastic.
Should come with grip extension as well as regular mag base.
Trigger is to heavy, hopefully the spring for the PF9 will work in it.

I was very pleased with this gun. It function perfectly with WWB, Federal eagle, PMC starfire, Federal Hydra-shok, and my reloads. The trigger is very long, but it's also the saftey. Now I need to order the grip extension, sight kit, and a holster. Very good gun for the money.:)

Well, glad ya like it.

I have a P32 which I like. It shoots about 2" off at 10 ft, but I mean it is what it is - a close up gun. Not a range gun. So, it's not that big of a deal.

I would try different ammo for POA/ POI.

Then of course check this/ these ammuntion for Reliablitity in gun and all mags.

I use the grip extension, it does assist quite a bit. I do keep one magazine without the extension and shoot that magazine a lot. The gun is smaller and more concealable without the mag extension.

Sight kits.

I have mixed emotions on these. Personally I have NOT messed with my sights. I grew up learning to shoot Revolvers DA only with fixed sights, Like Model 10s.

So I learned to find ammo that shot POA/POI.

Now I know one guy that removed his sights all together, and does not use mag extensions on one of his - this his deep concealment gun.
"Like the ASP".

We have shot it a lot! We can keep all shots on a playing card 7 yds for sure, and out to 10 no problem.

At first he painted a while line wider at rear and getting narrower at the front, eyes just naturally went to front. He removed this white. His background and expereriences...well, he knows about deep concealment and undercover work.

"Just a plastic double action revolver is all it is".

He still uses a Model 37 someand others...just some guns being sentimental and all he does not care about what happens to his P-11s.

His and mine shoot anything we put thru them...

Last time we shot together he was practicing with Blazer and CCW load was a Blazer JHP load.

I've done the same thing...

While he and I ( others too) have rung steels out to 40 yds, and hunted ground hogs with P-11s...

"Rule of Three" we believe in. So most practice is from 1/2 yard to 7. LOTs of practice 1/2 yard to 3 and out to 5.
LOTs of "from retention".

He and use a empty pack of smokes, playing card , 3x5 index card to shoot. We challenge ourselves by folding playing cards and index cards in half, and if we hit the background paper 1/2" to 2" - missing these folded targets - we call it good to go.

From "go" to first shot from concealment in under 1 sec ...close enough for gubmint work at 1/2yard to 3 yds. We got times to .7 and .8 last time out.

"Just a plastic revolver with a mag is all..."

I do not think that the spring from a P-F9 will do you any good. The P-F9 uses a different hammer arrangement- heavier hammer, partially cocked by slide movement, no second strike- so its spring is unlikily to be strong enough for reliable ignition in the P-11.

If you are right handed shooting low and at app 7 oclock, it probably isn't the sights- though I will agree that they are cheesy. That sort of a pattern is usually the result of the shooter becoming impatient as the trigger pull seems to take forever and unconsciously jerking the trigger at the very end of the pull. Please don't take offense at this. Literally everyone does it at first.

As sm said, it is a flat DAO revolver, not a target gun. It is a 10 shot J frame and should be treated as such. You will never get a short Glock trigger because it is not designed that way. You can improve the feel by polishing the trigger bar either by shooting it as sm recommends, by using a snap cap, or by taking the bar out and sanding it. You can even make it feel smoother by just working some graphite lub onto the exposed top of the trigger bar after you take the slide off. That will help smooth the pull out. But any attempt to shorten the pull length will create reliablility problems.

Buying the trigger shoe from Kel-Tec can also help you with the trigger. It doesn't change the trigger, but by providing a larger surface, it will feel a little easier to work.

The best way to improve your accuracy is to learn to shoot it like it was a revolver by prepping the trigger. By that I mean - once you have made the decision to shoot- begin smoothly pulling the trigger during the drawstroke as soon as the gun is pointed toward the target. After some practice, you will have the sights alined just as the trigger is about to break. As soon as the trigger resets, begin the stroke again as you realine the sights on target. Instead of alining the sights and then starting your pull- and waiting impatiently as the trigger seems to take forever with your brain telling you " HURRY UP"- by prepping you leave yourself only a few millimeters of pull to worry about at that critical moment. That way the discharge will surprise you every time.

Hope this helps- conwic
