So I've been shopping for a very concealable gun. My critera led me to 3 choices, kahr pm9, a makarov, and the keltec-p11. Couldn't find a kahr in my price range and wanted more firepower than the makarov, so I picked up a P11 at the gunshow this morning.

Put 150 rds through it at the range, 100 WWB and 50 remington 115gr FMJ from walmart. I field stripped it before shooting and didn't see anything that needed "fluff and buff" so I shot it as it came out of the box. Had one FTE on the second mag, no problems otherwise.

Recoil was about what I expected, a little harsher than my Springfield XD40 but very reasonable given the weight of the gun. I'll probably get the mag extension because my pinky was getting beat up by the bottom of the mag.

My biggest complaint was the trigger. Looooong and pretty heavy, although I found it relatively smooth. This will take some getting used to compared to the XD, but after 100rds or so I began to get used to it.

I was not having very good accuracy with the gun, but I think this will improve with practice. Before my hand started getting tired I had some mags that were pretty respectable.

One thing I didn't expect was at the end of the session I had a considerable ammount of powder residue on my arms, much more than I've experienced before. Maybe the ammo I was using was too slow-burning for such a short barrel.

Overall I think this will be a nice carry gun. Certianly packs alot of punch in a very small size. It does look pretty cheap but I'm not concerned about that. Time will tell if it proves to be reliable. I plan to put at least 500 rounds through it before carrying it.

The Kel-Tecs have a long trigger pull. I suspect that your accuracy problems are related to that. Practice. Practice. Practice.
The nice thing about the P11 is that it accepts S&W 59 series standard cap mags, or so I have been told. With the ban ending, you should be able to get some on the cheap!! I would suggest this.

P-11 is a nice little weapon...I carry one from time to time...SOMETIMES I carry 2 of them:D

There is a neat trigger mod on www.ktog.org that works well for those having problems with the pull..

yea the 59 and 69 series mag.s work fine in the P-11's..
