Kel-Tec PF9 Field Strip

I was wondering how one does this with a Kel-Tec PF9 that I just got for concealed carry?

Oddly enough, no it does not. Atleast not for the PF9.

Drop the mag
Lock the slide open
Pull the pin
Hold the slide and release the lock
allow the slide to slowly move towards the front (hold unto it!!)

Reverse the process to re-assembly

Fire it a few times and it will field strip all by itself* .


Do you mean field strip or detail strip? You should be able to figure out a field strip without a manual. For a detail strip, contact KT.





*This said from a satisfied P32 owner and soon to be PF-9.

It field strips the same way the P-32, P-3AT and P-11 do.

KT recommends using the rim of a cartridge to pry the assembly pin out.

In reassembly, you will need to push down on the barrel at the chamber end, in order to move the slide back far enough to lock it back and re insert the assembly pin..

Nobody's said, but with the P11, use the rim of a cartridge hooked under the assembly pin to pull it out.

KT recommends using the rim of a cartridge to pry the assembly pin out.
