Kel Tec PF9, where to buy? Please Read, my birthday is near!

......and my present is a new Kel Tec pf9 for summer carry. June 5th is the day.
Don't tell me gunbroker, Armslist, Buds or CDNN. The first two sites want too much and the other two don't have them in stock. Where in the wide world of sports would YOU get one?

Have your local gun shop order one directly from Kel Tec. That is how I got the specific model I was looking for. Just a heads up their bluing leaves lot to be desired, I recommend the Parkerized finish. Hope this helps.

The blued finish isn't bad, but I'd go for parked or chromed if you can find it. I guess they offer a cerakote finish now too.

Don't want a Ruger, that doesn't help. I want a brown Kel Tec, not blue and the one on Gunbroker needs 35 dollar shipping plus a bidding war to contend with. Anyone have any sound advice?

As mentioned, I would start calling my local and not so local gun stores. If you want it right this minute, that is going to be your best bet.

Right now you can't be picky unless you want to wait on backorder. You'll be lucky to find a place with one in stock, regardless of slide finish or frame color. I wanted the OD frame with a chromed slide, but all I could find was gray with a blued slide. Considering that it's more of a CCW gun than a range toy, I wouldn't worry overly much about the looks. You can always duracoat it later if you want to change the color.

Good point about who cares what it looks like, that hit home. As long as it shoots straight and is reliable, that's what matters most.

Go to gunbroker.com. Look up local FFLs and contact them. Some of them can order weapons and at a good deal. Not sure why you wouldn't want to just buy it from gunbroker.com though. Sure you have shipping and a $25 or FFL fee, but there's no tax. Pick a "buy now" deal from someone with a lot of feedback. I got my first PF-9 that way with no issues. It was when I picked up my Pf-9 from a local FFL that he told me he could just order weapons for me. My next two have been from him directly.
