I've heard that there are problems with the KEL-TEC PLR-16 .223 in that it's not designed to fire a lot of rounds at once other than the obvious is there a cure? Any tricks to make it really reliable.

Thanks and Merry Christmas,
CD

Yes!

Don't fire a lot of rounds at once.

The only heat related problem I have ever heard of with a PLR-16 pistol, or any of the other Kel-Tec SU-16 .223 rifles is, somebody somewhere claimed to have melted the plastic forend or something bump-firing using a 100 round C-Mag.

If you want to do that, buy an AR-15.

If you want fact based information from people who own them, go to the source:
The Kel-Tec Owners Group.

Thanks for the link. I'm new to this gun and as always looking for ways to improve. I have 2 AR's and always looking for ways to improve them, too. Hoping for gas piston in the future.
