My son had my p11 in his truck for several years. I had wondered where it was. I got it back yesterday and commenced to clean it. I noticed the bullets were not feeding from the mag so I took it apart. Much to my dismay the follower was broken and I found plastic inside the mag. Basically it was a single shot pistol.

Today I called k/t and they are sending a new follower, spring and recoil spring. I've had the gun for about 10 years now and much prefer it to the Ruger sr9. It's not as pretty as the Ruger, but the trigger is much better.

KT does have some great customer service. I just wished their firearms were more durable.

I agree that Kel Tec has excellent customer service. In my experience it is never a problem to get parts from them.

I don't own a SR9 but I have shot one. While the SR9 trigger wasn't anything to write home about a P11 trigger is about the worst trigger I have ever used. I own one & I do carry it sometimes but I am not fond of its trigger.

Kel-Tec CS is good, except that they don't provide shipping labels to send broken guns back to them.

a P11 trigger is about the worst trigger I have ever used

My feelings as well. I loved the size and feel of my P-11, but at the end of the day I sold it because the trigger made me a liability.........couldn't hit much past 7 yards, and my minimum is 15 yards.

I just wished their firearms were more durable.

They are, within design parameters. The range type guns (Sub2k, PLR-16, SU-16) are plenty durable. The P32/P3AT/PF9/P11, however, are deep concealment guns that were made using the absolute minimum of materials to achieve light weights and diminutive proportions. As such, it shouldn't come as a surprise if they need repair after 5,000 or 10,000 rounds. And because KT's warranty is forever, this is really not a problem.

That said, I've had my P3 for over 8 years now, and after the initial magazine release problem, it has been very reliable and shows no signs of impending failure. It's got some rust in the serrations, the bluing is mostly worn off, and it has quite a few other dings and scratches from being dropped or me running into things, but it still runs great.

I sent an email request for some parts and they responded right away and sent the parts out within two business days no charge. Now that's service. Keep up the good work Kel-Tec!

i am no ruger fan, but the p11 trigger is maybe the worst i've ever shot. so much so i won't own the gun cause while i didn't suffer from trigger slap, like allot complain about...... shooting my friends p11 at the range...i had to squeeze so hard i couldn't not make my hands wobble a bit and while it would be fine for a self defense pistol as it was designed for....saying it's trigger is better than a ruger...i have to admit i am shocked. maybe you got a really good one or it gets better with breaking in and more shooting.

good to know their service is as good as always. i am a big kel-tec fan. i own a p32 and love that pistol and this may be why i don't suffer from trigger slap as you have to let the trigger reset all the way, so i got used early on to giving the trigger room when shooting kel-tecs.
