So I have another question for ya'll -
As I posted before, I recently picked up a Kershaw Vapor. Not a bad knife, it's just taking a little breaking in/getting used to.
Well, today I bought myself a Red Scallion. I know, I just bought a few knives, but I couldn't help myself, and it was cheap!
Anyway - The Vapor I bought at Wal-Mart the other day doesn't have the same markings as my Scallion. The Scallion has
"1620RDST KAI Patented Made in USA"
Printed on the blade. The Vapor doesn't. It has the Kershaw logo, and down by the base of the blade is the word CHINA.
So what gives? Is the Vapor model made overseas? Or could it have been a special contract run made specifically for Wal-Mart, made overseas for some reason?
I don't necessarily have an issue with it, but it seemed odd to me.
