Kicking Self over belt

About 10 weeks ago I ordered a Milt Sparks rig. Since I've been a 32 in the waist for the last 7 years and always wear a 34 belt with plenty of room I ordered a 34 belt. My stuff arrived today and I throw everything on. I had to go to the first hole (36") for the belt to fit. I was abit puzzled. So I got an old belt and a tape, sure enough I was at 36" on it too.

Luckily there is about 2-3" of leather before the first hole and my step-dad owns a leather shop so I can add a couple more holes.

Just thought I'd vent a little and warn everybody to double check your measurements.

Yeah, those extra inches kind of creep up on some people. That's why I try hard to not surprise myself! I know for sure where that Double Six Dollar Burger is going!

Thats the thing no change in size. I just never knew what my belt size was and assumed. That darn difference in measuring by each company got me. MS measures from the middle hole. Levis measure from the last hole.

Yeah, I feel your pain a lot. I ordered a wilderness tactical belt too small recently and was too poor and lazy to mail it back. I measured as suggested by the company but apparently not very well. Now I just suck it up, or in rather, and wear it tight.

Hey come on Austin ... unless you have slacked off badly since we met in Dallas I'd say you can stay in the 3*'s .... you have one heck of a physique .. you should be proud of it (for an ''older'' guy LOL )

I don't work out but am lucky to still make a 36 do the job ... but a small distance above that 36, is I am afraid - a modicum of ''expansion'' ... better than some 30 yr olds I will admit!

Belts can be unwelcome eye-openers!!

I bought the Hellweg belt, 2 mag pouches, and concealed / comp holster set in size 32 (for 1911).

It barely is 32 to the final hole. Nice leather but I guess I took it for granted that all belts measured from the middle hole.

Well, I just can't relate to you guys.

It isn't so much that my waist is getting bigger, but my belts are mysteriously shrinking.
