Killing mutant vampires from Outer Space?

I had a weird dream last night about mutant vampires from Outer Space. I shot them with a .38 but that did nothing. Then I tried 9mm SILVER tips but they laughed at me and said that was for werewolves!

What would you use against vampires? wood bullets?

I keep telling you guys to just go to Wal Mart. They have ammo for all kind of creatures. Vampires, zombies, werewolves...what ever you might encounter. Most of it is avaliable in value packs.

I've always had a concern of the wood swelling in the barrel and either blowing the barrel or disintegrating after leaving the muzzle. Now, taking the process of adding mercury to a round, I believe Holy Water or Garlic extract and silver nitrate should do the trick.

Take the old "Frankfurt Arsenal" improvised weapons manuals. In there, they mention a way of turning a 12ga into an improvised grenade launcher, using wooden rods down the barrel and firing blanks...

Shorten the barrel of an over/under. instead of a grenade at the end of the rod, sharpen the end. Manual of arms goes something like this:

1: open action
2: slide in 2 stakes
3: slide in two blanks
4:close action
5: point at congressperson (oops... meant vampire) and pull trigger

Vampires and guns

Seen good ideas so far. It really depends on the type of vampires you want to vanquish. If you follow movies and books, there are plenty of different kinds. But to cover any possible bases I'd personally go with a simple shotgun with the proper ammo to cause the vamp's head to enter its "warm liquid goo" phase. Decapitation is a standard for vampires. Or anything else for that matter.
