If we want to get a group buy together on the Breed knives Kim tells me I can do the following-

$150 for the 4" forged carbon steel hollow ground tanto in the picture.

$175 for a damascus version of the 4" hollow ground tanto.

+$20 for scales

Kim says he actually prefers them without any wrap. I'll ask about other handle materials. What did you have in mind Lee?

We've got enough for an order, considering he makes the damascus and forges the blades himself the timeline on delivery will be a little soft, but not too bad.

If everyone that is interested would send a PM to me with specifics, large or small, wrapped or no wrap or other handle scale, damascus or carbon steel and if you also want one of his folders, I'll get everything in order and get final costs out to you and anticipated delivery dates. Expect 45-60 days after we commit.

Here are the prices for the group buy. Note that they are lower than the original numbers!


For the 4" tanto -

Damascus - $175.00
Carbon - $150.00

For those of you asking for damascus, Kim suggests that your not get them wrapped. He says they're slightly thicker than the carbon steel knives and the wrap hides his damascus. He assures me that there is no loss of grip without the wrap. If you find that you would prefer to have it wrapped after following his advice, he'll be happy to do it for you if you send the knife to him.

He also asked that you specify leather or kydex sheaths for the carbon steel knives (the damascus comes in a leather sheath). Kydex will take an additional 10 to 14 days.

For those of you asking about his folders please let me know. The standard folder in carbon steel with micarta scales is $300.

Based on these prices I'm asking everyone to make final decisions by this Saturday about what they want and what features. I know some of you want micarta scales attached, but I haven't heard from Kim if there's any additional cost associated with that.Regardless it won't be expensive to add (hey, we've already gotten the price down another $25!) Also, you'll need to factor in shipping. Kim will send them to me and I'll send them out. You decide how you want to get them since you'll be paying for the shipping.

He has let me know that he has all the tanto blades blanked out already based on estimates I gave him and that we could have finished knives in less than a month! When the other guys that buy customs come to from fainting they can tell you how amazingly quick that is. Also, don't expect these prices in the future.

Ok here's the last info on the buy.

I've got enough orders to go and Kim already will have 2 of them finished by Monday.

Kim says scales cost an additional $20 on the tantos.

All sheaths are going to be leather.

Damascus knives will be $175

Carbon steel will be $150

All knives will be completed in less than 30 days.

I will need payment when I notify you that the knives are in and they've passed my inspection.

BTW, Kim says he can forge the kerambit in under 30 days for less than $250 unless things get fancy.
