Love my UCII

and have no intentions of getting rid of it, I did have some very minor problems with it when new but everything worked itself out and it runs perfect now.

On a side note, I recently picked up a LBC/TRS and must say the fit and overall function not to mention accuracy far exceeds my kimber but it also cost twice the amount.

My .02 cents worth, my Kimber Tactical Ultra II has been reliable out of the box for 3 yrs now. It is the one gun I will NEVER get rid of. Great CCW, perfect size, weight, dependable, & very accurate. I have not had one single issue with it, no FTF, FTE, FTRB nothing (matter of fact has been pretty damn boring, just shoots and shoots and shoots). I like it so much I have eyes on buying it a sibling (as soon as the wife isn't looking).

Ok I own, carry and love my
Kimber. Ultra Carry II/Stainless w/Crimson Laser Grips and Mepro dot night.

I DID! Follow the manuals advice and put 1000 rounds down range before using any hollow points. In this first 1000 rounds I had one ftf and I blame me on that one. Being my first NICE gun I did not seat the mag well enough and we got click not bang. This was a rookie mistake and I'm not so mental with it now that the new wore off.

I did this break in over 4 Sundays in June. I did a field strip cleaning after each 250 and a total break down at 1000. Again I followed the manual and cleaned it real good. I like to oil liberally then wipe back extra with a fresh dry pad and wood Q tips. Wipe it down so there is just a VERY light coating left.

Setup # 1 CCW:
Crimson Cocobolo grips for the ccw usage with 3 flush fit 7 round Kimber stainless mags. A Bianchi model 7506 belt slide holster (I can Carry cocked and locked, thumb safety on and thumb beak strap under the hammer) and with the 7320 2 mags pouch I have 32 rounds of PUNCH.
This set up gets me threw 4 seasons of CC.

Setup # 2 Range / Plinking
I change out the Cocobolo grips to just Crimsons HARD rubber grips. Put on the mag well extention from kimber. Break out the 3 Kim Pro Tac-Mags 8 round with the medium bumper pads. This is the setup for Sundays hunting bowling pins and gallon bottles full of water and food due. My wife likes to shot siloutte and steel targets with this setup. I tell you what this little gun has got to he about as dead on accurate as any handgun I ever shot up to about 50 feet with a 3'' Barrel and OMG.

I only feed this thing two different loads.
Federal 230gr. HP Hydro-shok. This I load my CC mags with. A bit pricey but well worth it!
American Eagle "Red Box"
230gr. FMJ I can get this for 16.85 a box of fifty. Lots of shoting for that price.

I have done a little polishing to this gun. Just the two faces of the stainless slide, the barrel end of the slide, the barrel end and the guide rod end cap. I also had the local smith shorten the slide release pin and bevel the hole so there wa no interference with the beam of the laser grip.

So to end my long story I LOVE this gun. 4000 rounds and not one failer. I use it I clean it and leave very little oil after its all put back together. I did change spring at 3000 rounds but only because that was the recommendation of the "Owners Manual"
