Yesterday I finally got a chance to take the Kimber 10mm out to range. This gun was bought used with apparently only a few rounds through it. I had 2 boxes (100 rounds) of Double Tap 165 GD to play with along with the factory mag, 1 metalform 8rd mag, and 2 metalform 9rd mags. Through out the range session I had about 6 malfunctions. These seemed to be the last round of the mag but sometimes the second to last. The round would do a pretty extreme nose high and the slide would impact about half way up the case. Also, I noticed some brass "dings" on the top right of the slide near the extractor. This pistol has the 23# wolff springs installed. Is this just a case of limp wristing (I hadn't been to the range in a few months, so as much as I hate to admit it, I kept catching my self shooting with pretty bad form) or is this normal for the Kimber break in? I attempted to isolate the mags but it seemed to be somewhat random and happened in each at least once. Thanks for the help.
