Yes it is, and the comment you quoted took it out of context.
Okay, this new Kimber revolver is claimed to be a "clean sheet" design. Okay then. Whatever. If I can't cock the hammer for a clean SA trigger, then I want a 3" Model 60... and in fact, it's the next gun on my list.
He acknowledges that it's a clean sheet design. That is either a fact or not.
Then he said "whatever", which one can reasonably infer expresses a dislike or lack of interest in that fact. Since the only verifiable fact there is that he expressed disinterest in the notion of a clean sheet design, and since that interest or lack there of ONLY has relevance to him, it is an opinion.
He then expressed a desire for an exposed hammer and SA pull, which explains why he has the opinion he has.
There are individuals who consistently express their opinions as if they are fact. Facts can be verified by evidence. Opinions are based on personal feelings, personal experiences, personal perceptions, and personal desires. There's nothing wrong with expressing an opinion so long as you don't portray it as fact, which he didn't do.
