Hey THR, been awhile since I logged on, but know I need some help. I've been shooting shotguns, rifles, pistols, hell, even alittle bow shooting, now for the next thing, muzzle loaders. Never shot'em, never messed with'em, so I bought a used Knight muzzle loader LK-93. Clean'd her up real good, took sheap sights and scope off and added new (much nicer) scope, changed out the but pad that was on it and added a sling, she is looking good. Sorry, after I cleaned it up it just looks awesome to me, but back to what I was sayin'.
Got her out to the range, using triple seven preformed pellets (got the 50/50 and the 50/30 so I can play with the charge alittle), got the hornady SSD or SST, can't remember, its hornady, got the big red tip on the end, and some 209 primers. Got'er out to the range, loaded everything up, put the primer in, pulled the trigger and nothing happened :banghead:, looked at it, the primers are not staying in place, and after some checking around, looks I had bought the wrong primers.
OK, been searching around the web for 2 days now, want to go hunting this weekend for some hogs, and I want to use this rifle. So here is what I need to know, someone told me that I needed #11 percussion caps, is this the #11M? I can find those easy, but I can't find the #11, plus Hodgon website said to use 11M for their powder. So, before I go stickin' the wrong primer into my rifle, please lend me alittle advice on this.
Thank you THR community
