What is the deal with the Stoner Knights Armament Rifles (556 flavor)??? I have seen the the Noveske, LMT etc are top of the line however I can't get by the fact that the Stoner if alot more money. WHY??? I have seen the Noveske and the LMT for less money, alot less. I am all for quality and getting what you pay for but 2500.00+ for a DI rifle seems to much. I need help on this one...your feed-back is welcomed

The Knights rifles are well made, there is no doubt about that.

If you really want to know, start looking at HK firearms. It's nothing especially different about the weapon. It's just that it has the name, and the aura that goes with that. KAC is busy with Gov't contracts most of the time, and the few civilian arms they release reflect this in the price.

tell you what... take a look at some of these images and see if you can spot the especial differences. then go look at the spec sheet and educate yourself.

fwiw, I like the KAC ambi controls much better than the ones on my magpul/noveske LTD. i love the QD sling mount built into the receiver. the front BUIS is genius. you probably can't tell from the pictures but the extractor is enlarged quite a bit so it grips more of the case rim. and the cam pin hole is smaller than normal so there's more material around the bolt. it also comes with a very nice stock, and one of the best rear BUIS. the barrel is superb. it has a KAC 2-stage trigger and KAC's longer mid-length gas. and for all that, the entire gun is VERY light, especially for a long quad-rail.

I don't deny that it has cool features. It just doesn't have features that merit the price difference, to me.

I can't afford one, so that may be one source of my opinion. If I had a lot more money, I may change my tune.

Or, you may send me yours if you wish ;)

gvnwst, yep. however... you do need a special barrel extension that fits the rounded lugs. it won't work with regular ones.

add a light and a swaro z6 1-6x EE and it pretty much is my dream gun. i like the magpul UBR a little better than the LMT stock, but the front end of the SR15 is so light, it makes sense to keep the lighter LMT stock instead of the heavier UBR for balance. for me at least

oh, and i would prefer a different muzzle device

Yeah, i guessed so.;):D

I personally would like a few different parts (different forend and barrel, set up for precision shooting), and a few other propriatry parts that seem to work well, to add to that rifle. (POFs new roller cam pin system springs to mind, seems like a great idea)

Edit to quote below:
their super-cool BCG
Do you speak of the bolt only, or are there differences on the carrier as well? And, do you have pics?

yeah, that's a pretty safe bet praharin :)

for what you get though, it's not a bad deal. if you added up the street prices for just KAC's rear BUIS ($193), 2-stage trigger ($323), URX2 rail ($464), and LMT sopmod stock ($263)

you're at $1220. $2100 - 1220 = $857

which means you're getting a heckuva deal on a KAC upper and lower with complete ambi controls, their super-cool BCG, a CHF barrel with mid-length gas, etc. assembled, after the VAT, etc
