Well, I am in Louisville and Knob Creek is not far from me. It is raining decently here and has been all night. It predicts rain all day for the range. The hour-by-hour look has no percentage under a 70% chance of precip. We went yesterday and it was a blast (literally), but now I don't know whether to make the trip again or stay home. Their phone is constantly busy and so I cannot find out what they do in such conditions.

In the Spring of '98 shoot I could have paddled a canoe through the pole barn but they still had the shoot.

Won't a cold rain help cool hot barrels?

I cannot imagine mere rain ever stopping the shoot. Don your poncho and go!

We went to Open Range first, which is the worst indoor range I have ever been to. Insane prices, high strung range officers, workers who don't know what their talking about and will say you can shoot one thing on the phone, but then tell you that you cannot in person resulting in the majority of what I bought/brought not being able to be shot. :banghead: Bluegrass Indoor range is better. Afterwards we headed to Knob Creek anyways. It rained a bit, but not too horribly. We had to park literally close to 2 miles away and walk it. We could have parked in the range parking areas but that would have been stupid. We'd have surely gotten stuck and you should have seen some of the cars coming out of there or trying to.

Good shoot, but gets boring after awhile when you're only watching others shoot for hours on end. Got some mags for various guns that I have, but that was the limit of what I could afford to buy. The Mac 10 comes pretty close, but still a bit high for me . The explosions were a blast to watch. I'll go again.

My friend and I took some turns on an MP5 ($35 for 30 rds), which I liked a whole lot. You cannot tell if you hit what you're aiming at either which stinks. Most just fired at the puddles so they could see. Everything else you could target was swiss cheese. My roommate fired a Tommy Gun and what I believe was an M203 grenade launcher.

I believe on the official website it says it'll happen on the dates they schedule no matter the weather.
