Knock Off Knives

How prevalent are knock off knives?
I was looking at a new Benchmade fixed blade knife at a local gun show with the locking sheath and it was priced at $100. It seemed significantly low based on any prices I could find elsewhere on the net. Is there a chance it was a knockoff or just a great deal?
It was a 140 Nimravus in the hard Kydex shield with thumb release.
Either it was a great deal and I didn't know it at the time or not really a BM?

The Chinese knock off every popular knife you find here and some are sold as the real product. They are usually sold at bargain basement discounts, but the truly unscrupulous will package them as the real thing and then the truly unscrupulous will sell them as the real thing.

Depends on the exact model, but $100 could be right.

I think Benchmade prohibits on-line dealers from publishing "lowest prices".

I have bought several Benchmade folders at gun shows for less then half the going rate elsewhere.
