Anyone actually acquired/carried a Kydex for a Kahr? I have an MK-9 (that I dearly love), but I currently have it in a Yaqui Slide. Want Kydex for various reasons.

So far, I've only used the Comp-Tac Shirt Tucker... it was GREAT on making the P40 I had disappear... Very comfortable too. The only thing I didn't like was the single "offset" belt clip. On the good side, it made a flatter profile than a clip on the holster, but on the less-than-good side, it allowed the cant to shift.

No longer have either, but that's a different story.

I just ordered a FIST Inc. "Universal #1" Kydex holster with IWB straps for my latest (and 3rd) K40. I'm very anxious to get it in and try it out.

Give the Comp-Tac CTAC a try. I have it for my MK40 and it's great. It has spaced clips for stability and a slim profile and it also has adjustable cant. It's tuckable and makes th MK dissapear. Secure retentionI really can't say enough about this holster. I had mine made with J-hooks since I prefer them to clips.

Check it out at the website and give Gregg a call if you have any questions. The customer service is first class.

Be sure to let us know what you decide on and how you like it.

WOW! That CTAC corrects my biggest complaint with the Shirt Tucker!!! It only had 1 "clip", and it was offset under the grip of the pistol (as one of the CTAC's are) so the pistol would "over cant" forward sometimes with the lighter polymer frame. It never did that with an all-steel pistol.

This thing is NICE!! It wasn't an option when I got the ST. I may have to give one a try.

The FIST I just ordered is very similar, in fact about the only difference is that it uses leather straps instead of belt clips.

The CTAC shows the evolution of the Comp-Tac line, I really can't find any faults with it all of the plusses and none of the minuses. I'll be adding several others for other pistols I own.

Yeah, the new Comp-Tac looks like the goods you need. I still have Steve's Shirt Tucker, I like it, K40 is a different sad story( :cuss: Kahr!). I carry my good MK40 in it. The shirt tuckers tendency to move is correctable by putting grip tape on the portion of the holster body that contacts the pants. I've never used it as a tuckable, only IWB. Sometimes I get bored and carry it butt-fwd weakside as a BUG too. A crap Uncle Mikes soft #1 IWB holster makes a dandy little rig inside the top of a stiff boot, carried my Kahr there often. Holster lifespan is measured in weeks, use and replace.
