I recently got a Labradar and have been having issues connecting via Bluetooth to my Samsung Galaxy 10. Frequently the connection just drops and then I have to shut down the app or the Labradar unit to get the connection back. Seems to be a pretty common problem. Wondering if any Labradar owners have found a fix to this issue.

I haven't had that exact problem, but I tried off and on for weeks to get my Samsung to connect. I finally ended up deleting all my blue tooth devices, restarted the phone then tried to add the Labradar and it worked like a charm and still does. Then I added the other devices.

There may be something about your issue on their web site.

I am going to try what you did and see if that will help. Think the only other bluetooth connection is my truck.

Just got off the phone with them yesterday and was told the APP has a lot of trouble. New version will be available in October.

Tip that I got on a different forum was to disable other bluetooth devises before pairing with Labradar.
Works like a charm on my Android tablet but my phone still generates a communication error.
Can't figure out how to start a new string with the APP. Anyone have a clue?

I have the same issue. I power the Lab off and back on. Seems to work fine in the garage but then one it has recorded data, then I cannot get the app to start a new string.

Come to think of it, even when using the unit I haven't been able to start a new string without turning the unit off and on.

I haven't been to range since my OP so haven't had a chance to try anything new. If there is an new/updated app coming out in October, at this point I will wait for that and report back how it works.

As of today, the Android app has not been updated to a newer version. I sent an email to Labradar and will report their response when received.

Received a response yesterday from app support at Labradar:

"We are aware of a connection problem with the app and are working on it.

If you have a "newer" phone like galaxy S8 et further of iphone 8 and further you might have to do a reset network settings. This will reset your wifi network (erase them) and remove all of the previous bluetooth paired devices. Note that this is a temporary fix and you might have to do it again if the labradar stopped communicating with your phone.

Also we will include more features on the app such as export, rename etc...

Kind regards"

Always nice to get a response back even though there is really no updated info contained within.

Looks like the same response I got a couple of years ago. I do not have a "newer" phone but following these steps got me working. I tried the app on my wife's older than mine android that had no network or blue tooth and the app worked. Once I added the Lab and saw that it worked, I added my F-150 and my Fitbit and it has been working ever since.

The only issue I have is I have to turn the Lab off and back on in order to add a new group.

I just checked and the app that is currently available is the same version that I am currently running, dated June 2018. This is the same version that I have had ongoing problems with. So no updated version is available at this time.
