Ladie's Handgun 101 at my range tonight
Man, I'm beat. My range hosted a Ladie's Handgun 101 shoot tonight. I volunteered to help out yesterday and wound up spending three hours instructing. It was worth it, but I'm just worn out now.
We had about 8 shooters show up, give or take, including at least a couple who had never fired any kind of gun before. We had four people instructing, so everyone was able to get personalized attention. The shooters did well and I think they all had a good time as well. The ballon shoot at the end seemed to go over especially well. The ballons didn't seem to last long and I had a shooter who surprised me when she popped 10 with 10 straight shots from my CZ-75 with the .22 Kadet kit, especially since she hadn't fired that gun before.
One of the new shooters was there as a favor to her son. At the begining of the night she said she "hated guns," but she did well and seemed to have a good time. I didn't ask her if she'd shoot again though.
Tommorrow I'll clean the guns; tonight it's off to bed.
I have GOT to find a range closer to my house. Part of the reason I'm so beat is the two-hour round trip to the range and back.
