I picked up a Virginia Department of Corrections trade in Model 64 in the not too distant past, and I have really enjoyed it. It came with a terrible electro pencil identifier on the side plate and a set of big, ugly Pachmayr grips that really help me to shoot it well. I would like to use it as a farm gun, but would really prefer it to have a lanyard loop. Putting the loop on it does not concern me much, but I like the oversize grips. Are there any that would allow me to also utilize a lanyard loop? Also, does anyone make a stainless loop?

I never knew that I needed a lanyard loop on my Hogue gripped K-Frames, but thanks to sgt127, now I do! What a great idea, its just a little pricey!

It sounds pretty beat up

You could just make a channel on the bottom backside of the grips and run a rope/cord over the cutout in the grip frame

The other easy way would be to drill a hole through the grips through the cutout in the grip frame and just run a rope/cord through

Depends on the condition of the grips. The prison guns I have seen are pretty beat up

The way the EBay loop item protrudes from the frame bottom looks ungainly. Non-starter , if it were my call. The other option is pricey , yes , but appropriate in appearance.

Nothing to lose by drilling a hole in a set of Goodyears ; I'd try that first.
