Anybody use these on game? I'm mostly concerned with terminal performance, I'm sure I can get them to shoot good enough for my purpose of woods range hunting in .300 Savage and .308 Win.
I'm looking for a replacement for the 150 gr Speer Hot Core Mag Tip that I am presently out of. I have a couple of rifles that occasionally choke on large exposed lead tips, and as they are both in .300 Savage, a tipped bullet is not a good option. The discontinued mag tip was perfect, but is no longer made so looking for a good alternative. The Speer GS would be another possibility, if they ever show up on the market again.
