I am 5' 7" weigh 185 I carry the FNX40 Dale Frickie Kydex holster the archangle I wear a 1 1/2 in. leather belt Amish made my dress shirt is fluffed up just enough to cover the grip I have no problem with exposure of my weapon. The holster is comfortable in every position including sitting. I have tried them all including Milt Sparks which is a superb leather holster. The archangle is fast draw and fast return. I too have a Archangel for my FNX-9 and a Horizontal Mag Pouch from Dale. I've been carrying appendix for 4 years now. He makes nice stuff. I think this is my 5th holster from Dale Fricke. Nice guy to deal with.

For standing that would certainly work just fine, but for bending and sitting it looks as if it would be very uncomfortable - how well does it work like that?

It's funny you would ask that. I started trying appendix carry 4 years ago, because I wanted a easier, quicker and more comfortable way to carry compact to full size gun while driving in my truck or seated at my desk. It works very well for me and my body type. The holstered gun sits right in the crease between my groin and leg. It took my body about a week to get use to having a holster at the 1:30 position, but now I hardly notice. I can bend down and pick up stuff almost as well as someone who isn't carrying this way. My body type allows this, some don't.
