Larry Pratt, Gun Owners of America, was on WHYN, AM-560, in Springfield, Mass this morning. He gave a strong, if somewhat subdued, talk about the recently failed S. 1805. The host, Brad Shepard, seems to be fairly conservative in his views and was friendly, if not outright supportive of Larry and his views. The co-host, Bo Sullivan, a former local political candidate and staunchly anti-gun liberal was noticeably absent during this telephone interview.
While not as strong on the problems with nuisance lawsuits I give Larry credit for taking his POV to local radio and his suggestions on contacting your local officials were right on. Unfortunately our two Senators (Teddy "I'll Drive" Kennedy and John "Effing" Kerry) and our local Congressmen are all as anti-gun as you can get. Still it's refreshing to hear a pro-Second Amendment speaker on the morning program.
