O'Reilly is a pompous, statist, big-government blowhard of the first degree. The only reason that those on the right don't pitch a fit about him is because he's smart enough to know who's ox it's safe to gore.
He knows the demographics of those who watch FOX News and adjusts his aim accordingly. This most emphatically does not make him a conservative. It makes him a panderer, and the fact that so many both here and elsewhere don't immediately see through his facade is indicative of just how shortsighted many people seem to be these days.
