so I have reason to believe that I'm being scoped out by my local police. in about 3 months, I've had 4 random visits from the police, all 4 were: "oops! I guess we got the wrong address! sorry, have a nice day."
2 times they said they were responding to a home security alarm at my address, and both times I informed them that my house is not equipped with such an alarm. the other two times, it was those plain-clothes type detective-looking cops with badges on their belts. they were issuing subpoenas for people that I've never heard of.
every time this happens, the cops that show up are always super nice and friendly, and relatively professional. their behavior and demeanor isn't what makes me nervous. one or two times, sure, I can buy that as a coincidence, but this morning was the 4th time in just a few months, and I'm beginning to wonder if there's something going on.
so basically, my question for this post is if anyone knows anything about confiscation of LEGALLY owned firearms. if they obtained a search warrant, and searched my house, would they be able to confiscate my guns for "evidence" or some BS like that? I've read stories here and there around the internet about that type of stuff happening. "temporary confiscation" of firearms for "evidence". unfortunately, the investigation will be ongoing for the next 40 years.. lol but like I said I've just read stories, I have no hard proof of these accounts.
anyway, sorry for rambling, I'm just a little nervous right now. I hope it's nothing and I'm just being paranoid.
any and all info would be appreciated, especially from any LEO's on the forum.
thanks.
