Hi all--first time poster here. I just got home from running several several hundred rounds though my new Ruger LCP. The last two magazines were loaded with Buffalo Bore +P rounds. Great round--smack!:D The LCP functioned flawlessly!

However, I was just reading the owner's manual again, and noticed something I missed the first time through, in big red letter's it says "no +P!" I did some research on the web, and found out that this restriction is a fairly recent addition to the manual. I also found a post where one guy had a barrel "explode" on him using +P(possibly the reason for the new warning?).

I took the gun apart to examine it for any visible damage from the +P rounds. Everything looked fine. However, while inspecting for damage, I noticed that the bottom sides of the chamber walls, where it meets the bottom lug, are paper thin! Maybe this is the cause of the failure/warning.

I know this gun is a P3AT clone. I don't think Kel Tec has any such restrictions on +P ammo, so I was wondering if any owners could tell me if the P3AT is also thin walled in this area. A picture would be great!
