yesterday, i recieved my notice from ruger that it could be antother 3-5 weeks before i was to have my lcp returned to me, because "they have a parts supplier problem". my heart sank, all i could think of was this was going to be the same treatment that taurus has been giving me. so, two hours later, the UPS driver knocks at the door, and has me sign for a package. when i looked at the address, i knew who it was from. inside was my lcp, a hat, and a magazine with the standard floor plate instead of the finger extension. it seems that the finger extension is what they are having problems getting. so, they will send me that at a later date. with my old eyes, the only thing visable changed is the slide stop. and IMO, it is a welcome change. it works much better than the old one. i am really glad the decided to send my gun back, instead of keeping it for a little thing like a magazine floor plate/finger extension. persoanlly, i think the trigger works a little smoother. still to strong, but smoother. thanx ruger! as for the lcp hat. it is a decent hat, but i really dont think i would wear it out in public much. when i am ccw'ing, i really dont want the whole world to know! maybe when i go to gun shows as they will not let you carry inside anyways. at least not at the one that comes to my area.

I'm glad it worked out for you!

I was also happy when I got my LCP back from the recall.

Mine came with a note explaining the parts supply issue, which is why it took a month to get it back instead of 2 weeks like I was first told. Either way I can't complain.

The hat is very cheesy and I literally threw it away. I don't need any more clutter around here and I knew I'd never wear it:) It was still a nice gesture on Ruger's part!
