[insert obligatory statement about this not being a caliber issue, please do not compare or think that I am comparing the .380 to the .45 in any way]
I always seem to start my posts off with long-winded background info. I'm not very good at getting right down to the point, sorry.
I have an LCP for my EDC. It's almost always in a thin kydex pocket holster in my front pocket because, well, it's just that small and I love being able to pocket my CCW (IWB carry is nice but only when I won't be doing much sitting, in my personal opinion). Now that my wife is going to be getting her CCW permit soon, I'm thinking of giving her my LCP and going for a .45 XDs for myself. My concern is that before I carried my LCP I had a G26, and it proved way too thick for either IWB or Pocket carry for my tastes. The LCP has been GREAT. I know that the XDs is going to be bigger than the LCP, for obvious reasons. But is it as big as the G26? Can anyone compare the two? Overall length isn't much of an issue. I'm mainly concerned with the width/thickness of the gun.
Side note: if the XDs doesn't pan out I'll probably end up going J-Frame.
