Cabela is just up the street from me. They sell 120 gr 257 weatherby for a little over $70 for a box of 20.
Can you say Lee reloader?

That was online. aimsurplus.com and ammunitiontogo.com are both places I have bought ammo from.

If you need local ammo supplies as part of your deer hunting requirements, you will be best served with one of the .30 cals (.30-30, .30-'06, .308) they will all be about the same $12/20 at any place that sells ammo.

Oh, no, I was just wandering around and had some money in my pocket. I only have a Mosin M44.
If I need ammo, I'll definitely use ammunitiontogo.

Without reading through all previous posts, and kind of off the OP but still close enough that it could be of interest.

AMMO AND BALLISTICS For hunters shooters and collectors, by BOB FORKER

Lists 81 different factory loadings for .308 Winchester, this is just factory loadings and some are not heavy enough for deer, and it does not include military ammo.

It goes on to list 93 for the old workhorse .30'06 the same on deer hunting bullet weights and military apply.

I did not go into any other caliber research.

But it seems with that many selections, in those two .308 caliber bullets ,one or the other should be the cheapest to feed.

26 loadings in the 150-165 hunting bullet weight class alone for '06.
