I was given a Lee .450-200 grain Lee 2 cavity mold as a bd present. It was ordered from Track of the Wolf, who advertises it is for .44 cal revolvers. I've only made/used .451 RB in my pietta 1851, 1858 Remmies, and Le Mat; no conicals or bullets. Are there any special sizing/cylinder loading issues to consider, or just drop a wad on top of the powder, lube the grooves on my newly minted bullet and stuff it in with a topping of Crisco?

It's designed to work in the repros of .44 caliber. No need for a wad, but there's no harm in using them. No Crisco either, but do lube the grooves.

You can make the Gatofeo's lube, which is a more historic kind of lube (though they didn't have Gulf Wax back then), and lube the grooves with it. I've been doing mine that way. It's far cheaper and doubles as wad lube (which is what it's intended for).
